Local Flora and Fauna

Looking at the human face is like reading a story, we're invited to step into another world for a moment. The human face, if photographed well, reveals a certain set of truths about the person, and the truth is never boring. In and around the town where I live just outside of Rome, Italy. The images here were taken over a period of three or four years. Some commissioned, others not.

Life is not the experiences we live, but what we choose to keep in our memory. Photography plays an integral role in this idea. A photograph of a given time creates a memory, holds a surprise. Every person is a random sampling of humanity brought together in a space for a couple of hours. I live in a city where “life is like a John Cage score; dissonance made eloquent.”
